Latest College fees Info
As per d notification from college site, Students are asked to take DD of Rs10,000 only for yrs 2nd to 4th year(b-tech)...For further clarification here is d link

DD should be drawn in Favor of Director, NIT, Warangal, payable at Warangal. They also must have cleared the hostel dues.Students can also pay the college fees by cash paid at SBH counters through Challan.

NEW FEES STRUCTURE FOR FIRST YEARS
The college new fees structure is going to amaze many. The new students are asked to pay a whooping Rs17,500 per semester which comes to Rs35,000 per year. The amount is equivalent to Private management engg seat fees in kerala. The private managements demand same fees without availing any government grants and hav 2 pay their proffessors. By the fact that 70% of our fees is funded by the goverment,our actual fees would come to around a whooping Rs 1,20,000.
Don't know wat they are gonna do with all this money ,but better be on improvement of facilities of the students

Engineering college rankings 2009
NITW is one of the best engineering colleges in india and is among the top NITs.Here are some of the poll results.
Warning-The Rankings now a days is done by every Tom,Dick and Harry.They are highly inaccurate and done in an unscientific manner. Many doubt these lists are influenced by some private colleges which throw huge cash to get a place in this lists.
So readers are advised not to go through these lists blindfolded and use their brains whenever needed.
OUTLOOK RANKINGS-Frankly i dont agree with the placing of many colleges here in the list .NITW was only given 16th position below BITS-mesra and jadavpur university(not even heard before).I dont knw what criteria they hav taken it it does not make any sense.

INDIA TODAY RANKINGS-Its more funnier here. Here VIT(Vellore Institute of Technology) is given 10th position where as NITW is given position 13. I think they look for polished buidings and gardens to rank colleges.

IS NOT THE HOSTEL FEES TOO HIGH ???
The hostel fees has become a huge burden for students..With the accomodation charges of Mega Hostels crossing even the College fees,it's high time that we rise up and make a stand.
Please support this cause and put a comment for this, expressing your views and how you feel.

COLLEGE FEES
Everyone has to take a DD of Rs 10,400 as for college fees of this semester.
For more details contact Institute website www.nitw.ac.in . But unfortunately getting access to this website is a matter of luck. Most of the time it would be "under constuction" . God knows what they are constructing, but i get the site later, I find no difference in the site.
Anyway if u hav any doubts u r always welcome to leave it as a commend.

HOSTEL NEWS
For the first time in NITW history,single rooms are open to all. But there was an ambiguity in the hostel application form. options include
1-14th block
2-megahostel
3-1-13 blocks
As 14th and mega hostels are single rooms. Those who wanted double and triple rooms had to go for 1-13 blocks. But they wont b havng any guarantee which blocks they would get. Viewing this possibility as a problem many have switched to the safer side by opting costly megahostels over 1-13 blocks. But this problem can be solved easily by giving ur desired block numbers in the option form.
Second problem was about the mess allotment. The 14th and mega hostel boarders cant apply for old messes and would have to dine at the college food court. The food court being private, is bound 2 demand more charges for mess food. According to information i got, it would be around Rs55 /day as against Rs40/day in messes(though it might increase this year). And the food quality will also not guaranteed.
